Shaw 2020 - A spike in C-section superficial surgical site infections (SSIs) at Maine General Medical Center was addressed with a focused postoperative infection reduction strategy implementation. Along with patient and staff education, Hibiclens was used for post- operative showering and wound cleansing after dressing removal. Rates lowered by 65% over 8 months.
