Use of a Soft Silicone Silver Transfer Dressing (SSSTD) under Compression May Manage Biofilm and Exudate while Promoting Patient Comfort

Patients with biofilm and/or infection of the lower extremity, exuding wounds, maceration, pitting edema, painful dressing changes and inability to tolerate compression showed resolving infection with increased granulation along with a decrease in pain and wound size with use of a soft silicone silver transfer dressing and compression.
